EVIL PEOPLE IN MODERNIST HOMES BY BENJAMIN CRITTON

We always wondered why too.

'Evil People in Modernist Homes in Popular Films' is a tabloid format Zine produced by American designer Benjamin Critton.

Printed on newsprint with bold yellow and red inks in an edition of 1000, EPiMHiPF (for short) explores the representation of iconic Modernist houses as the home or office of the 'evil' person in popular films.

The houses featured are principally from the LA or Palm Springs area, and texts and imagery from films, as well as the address of the actual house appears. (In case you ever wanted to do a tour yourself?)

A fun, lighthearted investigation but also serious look at the perceived idea of how modernist architecture and somehow the bad guy go hand and hand, at least in Hollywood...
