Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan has taken the premise of a simple form - the box - and twisted it into a home that feels anything but hemmed in.
The São Paulo based office won an IDA for the design this year, as well as receiving notoriety for several other projects (such as their Osler House) currently doing the rounds on the internet recently, and we think the interest is well deserved. It's the choice of materials that really appeal to us in this project: stone lined boxes on top of boxes paired with timber slats bring a contemporary warmth to such strong lines, whilst huge windows let that South American light right in. Pared-down contemporary living at it's most refined.
