UPCYCLE INTERIOR

Italian interior designer Francesca Signori has recently created this shop interior for Ebarrito - a green-thinking, Milan-based brand that specialises in leather bags and accessories - entirely from cardboard.

Signori, a design graduate of Milan Polytechnic and the Domus Academy, also works in the field of set design, production design and prop styling, which we think has contributed to her eclectic, inventive style that has more than touch of stagecraft about it.

The new Ebarrito stores feature specially carved and shaped cardboard shelving, but more than this, the walls are constucted from modular, double-pressed cardboard walls too.

Display units have been crafted from interlocking tubular sections and even the light fittings are made in cardboard, resembling bird-cages.

Updatable, re-arrangable and ultimately, recyclable, M.E. likes the motivation behind this interior which uses a sustainable material for a constantly changing fashion environment.
