Wonderwall were the design studio behind the concept for Nike’s first flagship store in Tokyo, which also happens to be the largest in Japan; totalling 946 square metres of sporting gear.
The creative firm treated this expanse of retail space as a playing field, choosing to design an experience-based store with facilities such as a 'Runner’s Studio' for selecting shoes that match the individual’s feet and running style and a NIKEiD Studio.
The interior also expresses the joy of sports by integrating characteristically Nike items into the decor, such as shoes for a chandelier and using waffle molds of trainer outsoles as a decorative element for a wall.
Some nice details here from the ever inventive Wonderwall, who always seem to have fun with their interiors - take a look at another of their projects here.
