Italian design giant Minotti now have a swish new flagship store in the heart of Manhattan on Madison Avenue,
The project, covering a little over 700 square metres was created by Dordoni Architetti, with the interior collections on view coordinated by Rodolfo Dordoni who has been collaborating with Minotti for thirteen years now.
Thanks to three large windows which overlook the street, the interior structure of the store, in all its depth, is in plain view form the outside.
Internally, the showroom has been divided into several levels; five suspended platforms made of natural black steel arranged from the lower top, reaching a maximum height of six metres, allowing the visitor to explore and discover Minotti’s large collection of products.
To the left of the entrance area, is the first platform and the stairs that give access to all the display levels, and to the right; a brushed wood panelled wall runs along the depth of the store, offering an alternative path, to four different display areas.
The materials are those typically used for industrial buildings: steel beams and platforms, steel plates, and concrete flooring - the main ceiling is a key feature - covered with a bright black metal grid, which supports the lighting system.
Together with cult pieces of the previous collections, the new collection “Senza Tempo”, (first launched at the Salone del Mobile in Milan) was also introduced Stateside.
