Since it's Friday afternoon, we'd say this interior is a pretty appropriate feature; and better still, for those of you based in New York, you can pop in here later for a drink.
'Teqa' is a newly opened Tequilaria (Yes. Tequilaria. Our favourite new word.) in Manhattan’s Murray Hill area which offers unique booze, fantastic Mexican eats by chef Lisa Schoen and a pretty classy interior to boot.
Designed by Lesly Zamor of Seed NYC, Teqa boasts a design scheme that involves raw wood, textured stone, steel, etched mirrors and a custom ceiling chandelier made of steel and vintage glass jars that runs throughout the entire lounge.
And it's not just the lighting that's custom - Teqa’s tables are finely carved affairs, built from wood local to the Guadalajara region of Mexico and accented by brass molding, plus the etched mirrors spell out the menus in eye-catching type.
We'll raise our glasses to that.
