Parisian hotel 'Maison Champs-Elysées' has recently undergone what is quite possibly the most experimental luxury makeover ever courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela; and it's now finally complete.
There'll be a new website launching on August the 11th, so you can have a proper look at it if you're not in Paris anytime soon, but essentially the Margiela team have revamped a very large portion of the hotel.
Traditional hotel update this is not - the uber-luxurious, theatrical environment (involving a heady blend of the surreal and trompe-l'oeil trickery) looks to be a jaw-dropper.
The actual hotel itself consists of two buildings; one dating from the days of Napoleon III, and another more modern structure. Maison Margiela's work has involved reimagining and creating a restaurant, a smoking room, a bar and a reception area, all situated in the hotel’s historical building.
