THE CORNER ROOM BY MAKEMEI

The Michelin-starred chef Nuno Mendes launched Viajante in London back in March of last year, and now he's opened a second eatery at the Town Hall Hotel location.

'The Corner Room' is a bistro-style dining experience at the Town Hall Hotel, and the intimate, 30 cover restaurant in the former Bethnal Green Town Hall offers informal dining in a stylish space.

Designed by Talenia Phua Gajardo and Dutch designer Camiel Weijenberg of Singaporean-based company Makemei, the space has a Parisian bistro interior concept with dark wood floors, a vintage spiral staircase and an installation of suspended lights.

Ideal for a low-key dinner tucked away within the urban landscape of East London, The Corner Room offers a simple and affordable menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Refreshingly, dishes change weekly - enabling Viajante-trained chefs to constantly create and inspire using fresh seasonal ingredients under Mendes watchful eye.
