LEAN LINE

With strangely angled lines, unexpected detailing and gorgeous natural colourways, a new collection of pieces from Derek Welsh Woodworking perfectly marries age-old carpentry traditions with a modern aesthetic.

Launched at the London Design Festival, at the 100% Design London Event, the collection consists of seating, storage and table designs.

We particularly love 'White Rot'; a sideboard influenced by modernism and geometric forms (enhanced fabulously by the unusual choice of Scottish spalted sycamore) and the humourous 'Dogleg' chair, designed with an angled back to take the strain of many a tête-à-tête.

There are also the "Spite + Malice' tables which we'd like to single out too - a nice take on an archetypical and essential item, handcrafted in solid American Black Walnut and American White Ash.
