M.E. catches up with Alessandra Bosaglia at Living Divani to see what they've been working on and what she's looking forward to seeing at this year's Milan furniture Fair.

What have you been working on recently? Would you be able to give us any sneak previews of new projects you might be showing at Milan this year?

Living Divani has been working on the new collections to be presented at forthcoming Salone del Mobile, by Piero Lissoni, Arik Levy and Air Design at Pad. 5, find us at Stand E11/F14...

Arik Levy describes his Wedge table as a harmonious weaving of contradictions : a sculpture in space with a weightlessness appearance, strong impact with minimal elements, asymmetrically symmetric, visible and yet not invasion to the space as if it fell of an origami book folded by a giant both fast and static. Industrial Art.

What does exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile mean for you? How would you describe the positives (and maybe negatives?) of the experience?

It is an extremely interesting experience, thrilling almost, adrenalinic certainly; to be able to show to the entire design world what one has been working for the past months, following a precise and coherent product strategy. I only see the positive side, really, not the negatives.

We're sorry, it has to be asked - How do you think the current economic situation will affect the climate in the design world, and particularly this year's Milan Salone? Do you foresee any positive or negative knock on effects or adaptations that might happen as a result?

It probably will, as there is a definite trend towards a the idea of “home”, comfort,  cozyness, pure and clean lines, pure design – all in all a good thing really, as in the past years we have experienced an “over designed design”.

Is there anything you're especially looking forward to at this year's Salone? Can you let us in on the stands you'll be checking out for yourself/selves or new names to watch?

I am very curious and interested in seeing most of the presentations, even if I won’t have the time to do it all, but will most definetly stop at Salone Satellite to have a glimpse at the new upcoming designers.

And of course, its not all work! Where do you think this year's best Salone party will be?

This is hard to answer, with so many interesting things happening! I would say, in the Brera district, Established & Sons in via Palermo and Panasonic Electric Works in via S. Carpoforo.
