Italian lighting firm Foscarini showed an array of new products - seven in all - at the 2009 edition of Euroluce in Milan late last month. Upholding their reputation for innovation, pursued through research and the experimentation of new solutions for meaning, form and materials, they presented something to appeal to most tastes, but we loved Le Soleil, a large pendant lamp design created for the company by Spanish designer Vincente Garcia Jimenez. The shade is made of polycarbonate, with strips positioned to reflect light both upwards and downwards.
