Tom Dixon is set to launch his new collection as part of Milan Design Week, and here's a peek at some of the products that will be on show. Utility is the theme of Dixon's exhibition this year, and the new pieces include have utilitarian names too, comprising variously of: 'Pressed Glass', 'Spot Tables', 'Block Table' (a very nice revisit of the copper material Dixon used for his iconic light fittings back in 2004), 'Slab Tables' and 'Screw Tables'

We like the look of these very much, and since the designer seems to have gone back to high quality basics in terms of materials - marble slabs, granite, oak, and cast iron - they should be around to look at for years to come.
