A nerve-wracking experience perhaps for the clumsy, but Vessel - a store/gallery based in London's Notting Hill is a Mecca for fans of contemporary glass and ceramic pieces.

Sourced globally, their collections and showpieces include work from some of the biggest names in modern international design including Jurgen Bey, Hella Jongerius, Thomas Heatherwick and Karim Raschid as well as quirky items from Timorous Beasties and People Need Plates.

The classics aren't absent either; Alvar Aalto's award winning Savoy vase is here too.
