Ett la Benn is a Berlin-based agency for product, interior and concept design founded by Oliver Bischoff in 2005 while he was still studying industrial design at the University of Arts in the city. Joined by Danilo Dürler, their studio focuses on designing with emotion, intuition and their intensive concept development process has resulted in an array objects which definitely provides food for thought.

M.E. spotted these two products in their portfolio which appeal to the functionalist in us - both of them simple, collapsable and multifunctional...

'Valet’ transforms itself (via a beautifully thought out and elaborated hinge) from a seemingly simple pole into a classic Z shape which is perfect for hanging clothes or small items fior display. Since the form is absolutely reduced to its minimum, ‘valet’ achieves the status of an object itself. The colouring results from a chemical process which is triggered by the special treatment of oak wood and is available in oxal-white, ferrum-grey, oxid-blue, beta-red and ammon-grey.

"Trestle’ is a neat little escritoire, side table, storage or desk. It's made up of a dyadic underframe and a table board. The single components get interlocked by a plug-in function and can be constructed and removed again with one grip.
