Here's a table piece for made for Team Astana by Dutch firm Tjep who were commissioned to design an object to celebrate the team's victory at this year's Tour de France.
Twenty one objects were made, numbered and signed to be auctioned at the closing dinner of the 2009 edition of the Tour de France with benefits going to Lance Armstrong's Live Strong Foundation.
Despite the intricacies of Frank Tjepkema's design, the objects were designed and produced within two weeks thanks to Tjep's new in-house laser-cutting capabilities; which is pretty speedy. Almost as speedy as Team Astana...
