THREE TIMES THE GLOW

Prandina have just launched three new styles of lighting; one for the wall, one for your desk, and a really big one that can stand alone like an illuminated piece of furniture.

The first, 'Platone', provides a discrete light source, derived from the design which is characterised by a light curve separating it from the wall offering an effective indirect and gentle illumination.

The second is called 'Tau' and is a LED table lamp designed by architects Alberto Pasetti and Stefano Olivieri. It's essential design was developed from a pure and precise geometry and from the joining of just two metal curved elements, the supporting base and the illuminating top. This makes it actually rather traditional in form (it mimics those old style brass desk lamps for us) yet the white paint job lends it an uber modern, almost sci-fi look.

Lastly is 'Room' which is' is a set of suspension, floor and table lamps created by Berliners Katja Hettler and Jüla Tullmann. The series recalls the classical composition of stem and suspension lamps but with a reassessment of the traditional iconography: a wide rotational polyethylene closed diffuser is upholstered with silk printed fabric or wooden veneer.
