AT THE JUNCTION

Usually, when we hear about old junk being transformed into new products, we're interested in the environmental aspect, but not often impressed by the actual design itself. Too many times we've seen old junk reinvigorated (bent spoons as hooks anyone?) to look like well, junk. But Junktion, a company based in Tel Aviv, are a little different.

Admittedly, some of the chairs remind us a little of these, which is actually no bad thing; but we're rather liking some of the innovative uses they've come up with for other stuff. Stainless steel kitchenware as a standing lamp, TV's as lamps, pipes as racks and an old hospital screen turned into a funny room divider with the addition of some old clothes.

Not your usual.
