Italian lighting firm Prandina have launched a new lighting solution, created from only two elements, of different shape and material, without any visible assemblage.
Guru, designed for the company by Kristian Pettersen, was created with a view of identifying a design and a shape uncharacterised by time and by different settings. The upper frame is made from moulded polyurethane and the lower diffuser in thermoformed opal Plexiglas. Producing a wide and comfortable downwards diffused light using a fluorescent circular source, this suspension lamp offers two point of view: a static one and a more dynamic one - and their combination produces a subtle dialectic.
M.E. likes this minimal elegance, and Pettersen's new addition complements other pieces in the Prandina range perfectly. See here for more...
