We never cease to be amazed at the creativity out there, and here's a piece that stopped us in our tracks.

This dining table and chair series by Joseph Walsh is an incredible exercise in the exploration of material and form; a project he embarked on seeking to emulate nature's processes.

In particular it was the idea of layering, rather like the ever-increasing rings of a tree, or the slow accumulation of sedimentary rock that sparked the design of this latest series, called 'Formations'.

The twists and loops of ash used to create them evoke, for us at least, thoughts of woodwork shavings bound as Hadid-esque architecture in the most beautifully original way.
