STREET SAVVY

Take a look at this great new collection from The Emotion Lab - Barcelona’s freshest design studio.

Formed by four up and coming designers; Tom Allen, Marta Falcón, Christian Vivanco and Yago Rodríguez, all hailing from three distinct continents, The Emotion Lab have scoured the urban landscape for inspiration, and adoped city icons as starting points for a playful range of interior objects.

"We’ve found new uses in common materials and shapes." say the collective of their new designs.

"We only have to look out the window of our studio to find a sky full of antennas, streets full of stencils and the daily grind of urban life. It’s this essence of urban living which has been conveyed throughout the collection, inviting users to submerge themselves in their often unnoticed environment. It’s a reflection of what it is to live within the hustle and bustle of city life."

The Urban collection consists of all sorts of street furniture; there's a clothes hanger inspired by antennas, road cones have been transformed into a lighting and storage piece, the classic road barrier becomes an adjustable space divider, a traffic mirror makes a fantastic ambient light and scaffolding makes great shelving...

Neat stuff. These guys are ones to watch.
