A feat of carpentry and craft, this is Studio Makkink & Bey’s vitrine showcase that Droog will be bringing to Design Miami.

Starting with the concept of a simple frame, this whole shelving and display unit has grown - constructed without screws -  with edges that remain open for the next piece of the Framed series.

The piece is part of a never ending landscape of furniture which forms Studio Makkink & Bey's vision for a new world where objects, furniture, interiors and spaces intersect; and where time and labour create a quality now hard to come by.

We like this. Bold, dynamic, and beautifully made. Sort of like a life-size Lego concept for grown-ups.
