Like an overgrown cherry impaled on three giant cocktail sticks, 'Lock' is Belgian designer Sylvain Willenz's latest offering.

Created for Tamawa, whose whole aesthetic hinges on the idea of glossy Bakelite beads, Willenz scaled up proportions and used his sphere as the centre piece for this coat rack.

Deceptively simple in appearance (and faintly Bauhaus to us for some reason) the suspended sphere contains a clever locking mechanism which allows it to stay upright without any fiddly bits disturbing the overall sillhouette.

Bright, fun, well designed and ultimately, pretty darn covetable.
