DREAM TEAM

Nendo and Maruni have teamed up to create this mimimalist beauty which looks to be available some time in February.

"Shoe-Horn" looks like an art object at first glance, but when you pull the top, the practical object appears; shearing off like a conic section. As the name suggests, shoehorns were first made by carving animal horns; and the shearing motion of the shoe-horn pays homage to its origins.

The shoehorn and stand, connected by an embedded neodymium magnet, are carved from a single block of wood for complete continuity of the wood grain. The shoehorn can be removed with one hand and the stand is weighted for proper resistance.

Another quietly classic, minimal piece from the Maruni we've come to know and love, whilst Nendo's design involvement has ensured every detail, down to the grain direction, is perfect.

First we got the Cord Chair; now this. More collaborations between you two please...
