Superfolk, a great independent design studio based in Dublin, Ireland were a new discovery for M.E. at this year's Stockholm Furniture Fair, and we were won over instantly by the integrity and honesty of their products.

At the heart of their design ethos is the craft of production, be that hand made or industrial, with their range being a tribute to Ireland’s heritage of vernacular object making, playfully referencing a way of life rooted in the land, its animals and its weather.

Established in 2008 and led by Irish designer Gearóid Muldowney, Superfolk also admirably strive to emulate the sensitivity and sustainability of the vernacular approach; working with locally sourced Irish materials and striving for innovation in their approach to natural resources such as wool, wood and leather.
