Light Up is a chair and light by Dutch label Ontwerpers.nu, inspired by deep sea creatures which catch their food using luminous 'bait' on their heads.

When we initially saw these photos, we thought the piece was a desk lamp, but on learning that this is a chair you can sit in, the large scale changes everything; no wonder it's produced individually, order by order, on request.

Ontwerpers.nu have paid special attention to the ergonomics of this chair, so it's good for your back, and it can be used indoors and outdoors, since it's made of fibre reinforced artificial resin and steel which is hard wearing and pretty much maintenance free.
