This year's Stockholm Furniture Fair marked Massproductions first birthday - and they didn't disappoint.

The Swedish design studio presented the beautifully simple new 'Waiter Chair' along with a lovely back-story in the place of the usual product catalogue.

“I decided to think about chairs from a new angle” says the designer Chris Martin. “Waiters are people who work with and around chairs all of the time, so I thought that they should have a product they could appreciate.

The small footprint means it works well in a restaurant and can be placed on a table after service, the legs are tucked under the seat so that you can’t trip over the chair legs as you walk past and its light enough to move around easily.”

With its considered proportions and well thought-through details, The Waiter Chair (available in beech or oak and in a couple of stains and finishes too) will clearly work just as well in the home.
