With the tagline; "Act socially. Act mindfully. Act playfully." comes Act - a Swedish design team born out of a collaboration between Charlotte Ryberg, Johanna Strand and their partners and friends.

They'll be exhibiting new objects at the Salone Satellite from tomorrow, and among them are these two pieces - the bold 'Different Angles Screen', and a rather cute children's stool called 'Imaginary Friend'.

Creating products, furnitures and graphics that "set the stage for an experience, a moment in time, always with a strong concept as a starting point" they invite collaboration and believe in an open design process.

Aiming to make objects work together to form a strong identity or tell an intriguing story (they call it an act, which is where they get their name from) Ryberg and Strand consider the 'act' of using or making objects to always create co-creators:

"As a commissioner you have something you wish to express to your customer or audience and as a visitor you seek an experience. That’s our starting point. You’re the actor."

As part of this ethos, they're keen to show the 'making of' behind their final pieces, (see their website for more behind the scenes images) plus at the Milan Furniture Fair itself, the pair promise to reveal more of their design processes, enabling visitors to become collaborators and co-actors...
