The iconic `Wishbone' chair by Hans J. Wegner turns 60 this year, and Carl Hansen & Son have been getting colourful to celebrate.

The historic Danish firm; the world’s largest producer of furniture designed by Hans J. Wegner, is launching a range of Wishbone chairs in zingy citrus colours at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan this week.

Earlier in the year, the company launched four new blue colours of the piece in its Ocean series.

Designed by Wegner for Carl Hansen in 1949, the chair has been in uninterrupted production since 1950.

A light, sculptural dining chair whose steam-bent back allows a variety of comfortable sitting positions, its simple and organic forms seem to work well in any colour, but we think these new shades really pop with all the joys of spring...
