Belgian designer Marina Bautier recently got in touch with us to spread the word that she's just produced a small batch of this rather nice coathook called 'Portemanteau'.
Nine rods protrude from an oak plank making Portemanteau a piece of hallway furniture which could easily qualifiy as minimalist, but her design reveals itself to be surprisingly considerate too. The cut, which surreptitiously runs on the back of the board, allows you to slide in your mail before hanging your coat.
Bautier, who launched her 'Cruiser' easy chair at this year's Stockholm Furniture Fair, also currently has a selection of her work and some new projects on show alongside the work of fellow Belgian designer Nicolas Bovesse in a presentation called 'Home Sweet Home' at the Grand-Hornu in Belgium until June 2010.
