Clear-cut lines and sober decorativism characterise Flûte; a new piece of lighting designed by Hangar Design Group for De Majo Illuminazione.
A contemporary reinterpretation of the classic chandelier of the thirties, Flûte recalls the decorative art of the early 20th century and is crafted in equally classic black and transparent Murano crystal glass.
The structure and arms comprise elements in black blown glass arranged on three levels for a harmonious design. A narrow drop pendant in bevelled crystal glass, hanging from each arm, balances out proportions while adding soft appeal to the design.
It's a nice twist on a classic - which is something Hangar seem to specialise in. Have a look at our previous coverage here.
