With the Salone in Milan now concluded (although we're still uncovering some new great launches, so keep your eyes peeled here) the next big cluster of contemporary design presentations will be taking place in New York at the ICFF.
Following up a fine show of products at the Salone, Designer Sebastian Herkner will be in attendance Stateside with his piece; 'Bell-Table', at the fair which will be held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from the 15th to the 18th of May.
The design, which just picked up a 2010 Red Dot Award, serves as a small side table or coffee table and is composed of a pleasing collage of brass and mouthblown tinted glass.
It's a sophisticated play on mass and transparency - the lightweight and fragile glass base contrasts with the solid brass top and both are melded together seamlessly, forming a sleek, jewel-like unit.
Bell-Table will be launched by ABR. Barcelona at stand 1022.
If you're not going to be in NYC for the event, don't worry, because M.E. will be showcasing our top picks from the whole event right here.
