NEW NEW ENGLAND

Designer Timothy Liles launched “New New England” at both the CITE showroom and Ace Hotel during last weekend's ICFF, and we like the playful contemporary twist he's brought to traditional American craft.

The three-piece furniture collection is a modern trio designed by Liles and produced end-to-end within New England in collaboration with experienced craftsmen.

Our technology-saturated age seems to have prompted the idea that what was once considered inefficient is now luxurious, and Tim firmly believes that users deserve deeper connections to the places and the people their products come from - the end result being meaningful, carefully produced material posessions worth having.

His 'Braid Dead Rug', 'Sweetser Lamp' and 'Crested Comb-Back Chair' all pay homage to New England’s classic heritage aesthetic and refined craftsmenship, but incorporate a cheeky twist of pop.

Missed them at ICFF? Well, from next week, Tim will be hitting the road with his work on a three-month North American tour in a gutted-out and re-designed camper van to launch the collection at the finest design galleries, museums, and retail stores across the States.

We say if you're based across the pond, then do keep an eye on his website below for the full tour itinerary...
