'Pour les Alpes’ is a Swiss label based in Zurich founded just two years ago by young designers Tina Stieger and Annina Gähwiler.
And it's not just their studio name that references mountainous terrain - these new 'Chapütschin' and 'Gion' planters designed by the duo are faceted like mini boulders.
The mountain crystal served as inspiration for the design of the objects, apparently: "...arisen from the depths of nature, legendary stories of its discovery, and sculptural in its appearance..."
Crafted in a honey-coloured oak, the plants you put in the pot complete the sculpture as they grow out of the crack which runs along or on top of the objects - creating an alpine treasure in an urban environment.
The pieces will be on show at the upcoming DMY Berlin event, which kicks off on the 9th of this month.
