Superéquipe is a collaboration between designers Julia Fellner, Gesine Hillmann, Lisa Hillmann, Tjark Pfeiffer and Jan Regett who, in their own words; "...poke in the past and look light heartedly towards the future."

And armed with their diversity of skills, they've created this collection of interior pieces which they've just shown at DMY Berlin.

We love the balance between simplicity and conceptual or physical intricacy in their work; struck most clearly perhaps in the "R.I.P" cabinet designed by Hillmann and Regett of the group. Here's their description:

"These days furniture has a very limited life cycle. Furniture comes furniture goes. In spite of the short time they accompany us we become attached to them. The closet "R.I.P" accepts its place in this cycle.

The center piece however, specifically the lock plate, represents more. It is modern handicraft which retains the heritage of the piece. It wants to remain. Detached from the closet it continues to represent it and the common history."

Also, we think the appealing geometry of 'Duo' and 'Stuhl Eins' is right on the money at the moment, as we've seen a number of pieces recently (like this and these) which feature faceted forms...
