The 'Knotted Egg Lamp' is the work of Australian designer Sarah Parkes who works with macrame under her label Smalltown, and knots all her pieces by hand.
From small objects and jewellery, to large scale commissions for store and hotel interiors, Parkes' work carries both a charm and a keen eye for balance and detail; reviving a traditional technique and in the process, reinventing it.
