'New Simplicity' looks to be an interesting show of design which celebrates the work of both established and emerging international product designers; all unified by a shared belief in the pursuit of simplicity.
Curator Nuno Coelho has chosen to feature leading designers such as Jasper Morrison, Sam Hecht and Torsten Neeland alongside a younger generation, including Oscar Diaz and Min-Kyu Choi, and presents both classic simple design pieces alongside many new objects.
Referencing Galileo, the exhibition organizers state:
“Nature does not multiply things unnecessarily: that she makes use of the easiest and simplest means for producing her effects: that she does nothing in vain, and the like.”
The show is open now at 203 Brompton Road, London and runs until the 8th of August.
