Ellen Thomas has created these 'Milk' stools -  a response to an investigation into value, and the embodiment of longevity.

"I created three pieces of contemporary furniture with imbued value. They have been made using Ash, and each piece has been etched with a pattern detail on the underside, which pays homage to its humble roots as well as adding a touch of humour.

The construction of the legs make reference to traditional craft techniques with a contemporary twist." Ellen says.

Ellen will also be taking part in this year's London Design Festival in a group show called 'HomeWorks', curated by London design store Mint.

'HomeWorks' will feature a selection of over forty upcoming and established designers specially chosen for their individual and experimental craft touch.

Given Mint's great track record in cherrypicking high quality design, we think this will be a definite go-see come September.
