'In-Between' is the first edited project born out of a partnership between Parisian cabinet-maker Christophe Chauvet and London based designer (and Anna Gram collaborator) Florian Dussopt.
The design is drawn from the specific craftsmanship and technical know-how of Atelier Chauvet, resulting in the unique hand-made fabrication of the table.
In contrast to the luxurious, smooth curves of the table and its fluid legs, a matt black board has been placed in between the table and the floor, and here, there's a small gap where you'd expect the shelf board to touch the legs, but instead it appears to float.
Reassuringly, it's in fact, held firmly by a subtle brass rod that runs through the centre, but this addition brings in a feeling of lightness; heightened by the change in texture.
We give this a big M.E. thumbs up for contemporary style constructed using true old-school methods.
Its those little details isn't it?
