Now on show at the Woonbeurs 2010 interior design expo in Amsterdam are these monumental lights by Dutch designer Paula Arntzen; 'Grand Trianon', 'Petit Trianon', and 'La Couronne'.

Arntzen's series, collectively called 'Nouveaux Royal' currently make up part of US-based design firm Artecnica's Fall/Winter 2010 collection and will be available to buy later this month. 

Born in 1980, Paula studied traditional furniture making at HMC in Amsterdam before tackling a Product Design course at ArtEZ Academy of the Arts in Arnhem and is now based in Arnhem where she has her own design studio.

We think her combination of lightness and dramatic shaping explore the limits of her materials very nicely indeed - who needs the expense of crystal chandeliers when you can get this intricate with Tyvek?
