We love these.

They're from Branca, a recently launched interior brand based in Portugal and the brainchild of Marco Sousa Santos where each piece is the result of an experimental approach, supported by detailed research into the aesthetic and structural qualities of the materials.

This is the first collection - purely seating - the forms and colour of which faintly reminds us of those slot-together balsa wood models we used to make as kids, although their construction is thankfully a lot more durable.

This is largely due to Branca's collaboration with high quality Portuguese craft producers, combining their handmade skills with the latest digital production tools.

And the result?

Some beautifully thought out furniture which should stand the test of time.
