CASSINA REISSUES LE CORBUSIER COLLECTION

Good news this morning for mid-century modernists...

Italian brand Cassina, who have owned the exclusive rights to Le Corbusier furniture since 1964, have just launched a small selection of furniture designed by the man himself.

After carefully studing Corbusier's original drawings and prototypes, and collaborating closely with the Le Corbusier Foundation, Cassina has realised these designs on a commercial scale for the first time in the small, but perfectly formed ‘Cassina I Maestri’ collection.

Among the pieces are the 'Tabouret' stool, designed in 1952 for his holiday 'Cabanon' in the south of France, and a small wooden writing desk created for the children's bedrooms at the Unité d'Habitation in 1957.

Christmas lists at the ready...
