A sweet and simple idea based on the idea of falling.
These ceramic drop-shaped money banks are by Lisbon-based designer Rita Botelho, who likes to create pieces from common shapes, but always with a witty little twist to the underlying concept. For this object, the underlying idea is gravity.
The name and shape communicate how to interact with the money bank, and like a shiny drop of water that gets bigger and bigger until it falls and breaks on the ground, the Drop money bank is entirely enclosed.
So once you've finished dropping coins into it, you then drop the whole thing; essentially dropping the drop...
