Brooklyn based BuiltIN Studio have just released the first two products from a line they've recently been developing; the 'Oblique' and the 'Check' shelf.

Both wall-mounted units feature simple, but strong geometry, and are hand-made from solid American hardwoods - essentially the sort of interior addition that is built to last.

This carefully considered, hand built, hands on approach also seems to extend through each project the studio undertakes; and they also do architectural design, including residential, commercial, and retail projects.

Founding partners, Gary Eisner and Terence Kinee (who both have an impressive CV when it comes to interiors and architecture as well as furniture design and fabrication) run their studio with a keen eye on materiality, constructability, and an environmentally conscious design sensitivity to each project.
