Ok, ok, this looks like a ladder, a beautifully constructed ladder in solid oak, but a ladder all the same.
Which it is; but there's some thing about the sentiment of this piece by Japanese creative office, Fift, which we like a lot.
So this ladder is called, “Consider One’s Place” and is also equipped with a seat and laptop holder at the top.
If the social overkill of the festive season gets to you, just climb up with a book or a movie on your laptop and enjoy the feeling of seclusion, away from the eye level of everyone else.
And in terms of the rest of the year, a pretty nice idea for those of you who are more productive without distractions - although it's probably going to be best if you don't fall asleep at your desk...
Feeling antisocial/inspired?
