Copenhagen based design studio Morgan & Marley impressed us this morning with their 'Unfold' table; which does just exactly that.

By thinking of furniture as something that shouldn't be defined in advance, but interpreted and used as needed in a given situation, the office developed this ingenious folding system which breaks with the standard notion of a table; or even of a typical folding table.

Founded by architects Monique Engelund and Mathilde Witt Mølholm, Unfold is just one of the many aesthetically pleasing, cleverly developed products in their portfolio.

The studio, which was created just last year, has a brilliantly refreshing attitude to product design; announcing in their mission statement:

"We do not always intend to make your life more comfortable, efficient or beautiful, because we believe that objects can do so much more than that…"
