'Optical' is the latest seating design to come from Italian studio Sand & Birch.

It's a nearly half spherical pouf, upholstered in cotton or leather, and crossed with eye-catching stripes made of Carbon Flex - a hi-tech material that Sand & Birch are currently experimenting with.

From a frontal perspective, these lines surround and define its shape, giving the sense of an optical illusion.
