BONGUE AMPLIFIER BY STUDIO TOER

We've showcased a range of unusual machines on M.E. over the last year including knitting clocks and analogue fans; and here's the first one of 2011 courtesy of Castor Bours and Wouter Widdershoven from Studio Toer.

'Bongue' is a dynamic physical amplifier of mobile audio which produces a combined visual and aural experience.

When Bongue remains still it only amplifies the sounds from the music-device itself, but start moving the arm and the action boosts the amplifier - increasing the volume of the music.

Watch a short video of it in action here.
