'Monsieur' is a new reading lamp, designed by three Barcelona based designers; Christian Vivanco, Tom Allen, and Yago Rodriguez.
It's part of their collaboration with Spanish design brand Almerich, and the piece was recently presented at Valencia Design Week.
"After researching different users, we present 'Monsieur', a reading lamp as a response to an emotional need." say the designers.
"We consider that when you are reading, a strong link is created between you and the book. People love to get lost in the pages of a good book and Monsieur encourages this connection, creating a unique, intimate and personal atmosphere."
Monsieur features a clever rotation system which allows two movements covering more than 300 degrees each, so with a single arm movement you can adjust its position to exactly where you need light focused.
The result is a light and stable reading lamp, suitable for any room in the house. It'll fit nicely beside your bed, next to the sofa or in the study, and the addition of a small surface - ideal for a book, a coffee mug or other small object - completes the perfect reading experience.
