LOOM LAMP BY BENJAMIN HUBERT FOR ZERO

Here's another lighting design Benjamin Hubert has produced recently, this time for Swedish manufacturer Zero.

'Loom' is a collection of organic textile pendant lamps utilising a new 3D woven polyester material - originally used as a source of comfort in the bedding industry, and never used before in the lighting industry.

The textile can be stretched around complex forms and diffuses the light through a dense network of warp woven polyester fibres.

Hubert's chosen forms reference traditional Chinese lanterns, transforming them with a new technological material and a brightly lit polymer lens at the heart of each pendant.
