We've featured Siba Sahabi's delicate paper ceramic works before, and this month, a new show of pieces will open in Munich, presented by Dutch design Galerie Ra.

Continuing to explore the phenomenon of cultural melting pots, this time, Sahabi's work takes its name and focus from an area in Athens known for centuries as the potter's quarter.

'Kerameikos' opens on the 16th of March at Internationale Handwerksmesse in Munich, and is a selection of 'Ancient Greek' forms inspired by artefacts whose origins actually lie much further afield; including the Egyptian Alabastron (an alabaster perfume vessel) the Lydian Lydion (a metal jar for anointing oil) and the Persian Rhyton (a horn drinking vessel).

This ancient culture clash, integration and adoption of typologies is fertile soil for Sahabi, who has taken their shapes and reinterpreted them - realising them in her own technique where paper meets porcelain.

The exhibition runs until the 22nd of March.
